That Crack Will Quickly Grow
No matter where you live, there will be temperatures that can and will cause that crack to quickly expand. The crack in the windshield can grow in size at any time. The windshield is not going to function the way it should when it is cracked. The reason for this is because it no longer holds the same amount of strength that it once did. The integrity of it has been compromised. What might have simply bounced off of the windshield before might now cause the glass to shatter - sending bits of glass and road debris into the vehicle. Therefore, the windshield is no longer working as the best possible protection between you and what is outside of the vehicle.
The Value Of The Vehicle Is Damaged
Even if you have the good intention to get that windshield fixed before you ever tried to sell it, you just never know when you are going to need that higher car value. Since you cannot predict such incidents, it is important to make sure that you are having the windshield repaired or replaced immediately.
